A board-certified orthodontist graduates from an accredited dental school like a general dentist, then they complete two to three years more of advanced training through an accredited residency program through the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
Then, doctors must pass the written and clinical examinations as administered by highly experienced and board-certified orthodontists through the American Board of Orthodontists.
Further, board-certified orthodontist must renew their certification every 10 years. Dr. Harrison has been a board-certified orthodontist for his entire career!
